Charro 4 Change Productions is a dance education organization centered around teaching Mexican Folk, Latin Folk, and Latin Urban Rhythms as well as Latino-American Folklore & Cultural History catered to serving all communities. Beginning as an online, blog space for Mexican Folk resources and networking, C4C now holds the mission to deliver quality dance educational programming while holding directives such as building youth dance leadership programs, hosting diverse panels and interviews, and reaching a more genuine sense of community and agency with dance as a vehicle to get us there.
How my journey went from spicy, to spicier.

People say to tell your own story, so others won’t tell it for you. I tell my story because frankly up until now I have had to many chapters I have chosen not to share. Those who have shared a chapter with me, hopefully can enlighten others. Ideally, this is a place where no more chapters can risk being lost to memory.
To keep it short and sweet, I unexpectedly discovered the rhythm to my own story that aligns to my purpose. Melodies of dance festivals over my life inspired me and the harmonies across friendships, mentorships, and milestones have defined me thus far.
I lived a unique, but also common narrative growing up choreographing, teaching, & networking in the Folklorista and Latin Social Dance community from California to Florida, and across the world such as France, Croatia, and Mexico. 25 years of being involved in so many communities across its many legacies and paradigms in dance has brought me to a sense of urgency to strengthening this social practice of dance through community -engaged education within community solidarity, reforming cultural diaspora, and as a performing art.
